The drama’s about a young single mother raising a five-year-old daughter on her own, maintaining a positive attitude while working part-time jobs. So Candy grew up and has a kid now? At least that’s one way to give a familiar character a new facet, and I do quite like Kang Byul’s energy; she’s spunky and expressive, and I’ve liked her whenever I’ve seen her. I could see her doing the straight Candy in a way I’d enjoy (which is saying something), so I’ll remain optimistic about her take on this single mom version.
Joining Kang Byul in the cast is Seo Do-young (of both Thorn Birds and Thorn Flower), who plays the department head of a wedding event company whose name is Yoo Myung-han, HA. (It means Famous.) He’s a man who seems perfect on the outside, but has his gaps that most don’t see, which is a type of character I always enjoy. He’s got sleek looks and a silver tongue, which comes in handy when dealing with his clientele, as well as the company chairwoman.
