Can a group of friends at an arts college traverse the treacherous waters of friendship and unrequited love as they follow their dreams in life? An Zhu Ben (Lego Li), Den Zhen Shan (Joe Cheng) and Ren Sen Tian (Eddie Peng) are three young men who live in the same apartment complex and attend the same arts college. When they meet Hua Ben Yu (Chiaki Ito), a niece of an art professor, both Zhu Ben and Sen Tian fall in love with her, but Zhu Ben tries to chum up to her as a friend while Sen Tian openly expresses his feelings and kind of scares her by constantly photographing her. Although shy at first, Ben Yu gradually warms up to the boys and befriends them as well as He Ya Gong (Janine Chang), a pottery master who is as tough and fragile as the beautiful pottery she creates. Ya Gong develops a crush on Zhen Shan, but he’s got his eyes set on an older woman. “Clover and Honey” is a 2008 Taiwanese drama series directed by Li Yun Chan. It is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Chika Umino. The manga was adapted into an animated Japanese television series for two seasons in 2005 and 2006, into a live-action Japanese film in 2006 and into a live-action Japanese television drama in 2008.
